American Martial Arts Gym

Just signed my son up he is 5. He was a little nervous at first and would NOT get on the mats. We were able to sit and watch a class to see if he would even like it. We had our free week trial and he liked it. All the staff are very friendly and helpful with any questions you may have. The gym is very clean and well maintained. I would definitely recommend anyone to watch and try it. The warm ups are funny to watch. They don’t look hard at all when the coaches do them!! After you try them at home you realize how good of a workout it is.

The coaches at the Waldorf branch are knowledgeable in their respected field, keep training understandable yet challenging. They push you to succeed and create a seance of belonging among the other students. Great workouts, great vibes, and mountains of skills for them to teach at an affordable price. If you’re in the area and looking for a well rounded experience in training this is the place to be.

Great sportsmanship, leadership and teamwork. You can tell from all the fit men and women that they work hard. The coaches are involved and very active. Great place for youth and older people alike.

So far my experience has been good, I'm learning new moves to implement into my career. Competitive but responsible environment, everyone shows respect and plenty to learn. Sparring in BJJ or Kick boxing is good and done at the right intensity. Smaller gym compared to other gyms but what's sacrificed in space is made up for in experience and atmosphere. Encourage all in the DMV area to give it a try.

My son joined this gym. We looked at the other gyms in the area. We like the one on one training. The encouragement from coaches. My son is becoming more confident with himself. This is an excellent opportunity for him.
